CenturyLink will also terminate traffic from these other Telecommunications Carriers’ network and/or its end users to CLEC’s network and/or its end users. Transit Traffic 7.2.2.3.1 CenturyLink will accept traffic originated by CLEC’s network and/or its end user(s) for termination to other Telecommunications Carrier’s network and/or its end users that is connected to CenturyLink's Switch. Work Day/Work Week 6.01 The normal work week shall be forty (40) hours however this shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week, except as provided for in Article XI or Standby Time. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate. Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. Sick Time An employee shall have all of his/her accrued sick leave credits transferred when the employee is transferred to a different State agency. On unscheduled overtime, employees shall be entitled to a third break on the same basis as applies for scheduled overtime. Where work is scheduled for a period of ten (10) hours, a third rest break will be taken at the end of eight (8) hours. Time of these breaks shall be mutually agreed upon and the entire crew may take the break simultaneously. Accumulated lieu time cannot exceed 37.5 hours for 7.5 hour workers and 40 hours for 8 hour workers.Ĭoffee Breaks Two (2) breaks of ten (10) minutes each but not more shall be allowed during the regular shift. Where an employee chooses the latter option, such time off must be taken within the succeeding six (6) pay periods of the occurrence of the overtime at a time mutually agreeable to the Hospital and the employee, or payment in accordance with the former option shall be made. Overtime Lieu Time Where an employee has worked and accumulated approved overtime hours (other than overtime hours related to paid holidays) such employee shall have the option of electing payment at the applicable overtime rate (i.e., where the applicable rate is time and one-half, then time off shall be at one and one-half times). In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. Such time shall not be cumulative and shall be in addition to break time established above. Employees who spend a majority of the workday working with a Video Display Terminal (VDT) shall be permitted to perform other job-related duties (i.e., work not involving use of a VDT) 10 continuous minutes out of each hour. For work assignments of less than six hours, such employees shall be entitled to one 15-minute break. Break Time For daily work assignments of six or more hours, permanent and probationary employees (except bus drivers and bus aides) shall be entitled to one 15-minute break for each half of the work assignment. ![]()
